Promises to The Overcomers
None of the original seven church buildings of Revelation seem to be standing. But thankfully the promises to the Overcomers are relevant for today. This still is the church age, don't stray in your beliefs, or be mislead. Jesus is very clear about sin, things that are wrong according to His Word.

Ephesus Church Angel
In 1308 the Turks took possession of the little that remained of the city, and deported or murdered its inhabitants. The Cayster river, overflowing its banks, gradually covered with its muddy deposit the spot where the temple of Diana had once stood, and at last its very site was forgotten. But the Words of Jesus will never be forgotten.

Smyrna Church Angel
Smyrna was the last of the Christian cities to hold out against the Mohammedans; in 1424 it fell into the hands of the Turks. These people were rich in Christ, they will have great rewards coming there way. Christ didn't  promise you a rose garden during our lifetime, some people He will show what they must suffer in His name.

Pergamos Church Angel
Christianity reached Pergamos early, for there one of the Seven Churches of the Book of Revelation stood, and there, according to Rev 2:13, Antipas was martyred; he was the first Christian to be put to death by the Roman state. The same passage speaks of Pergamos as the place "where Satan's throne is," probably referring to the temples in which the Roman emperors were worshipped. During the Byzantine times Pergamos still continued as a religious center, for there a bishop lived. However, the town fell into the hands of the Seljuks in 1304, and in 1336 it was taken by Suleiman, the son of Orkhan, and became Turkish.

Thyatira Church Angel
Thyatira is now represented by the modern town of Ak-Hissar on a branch line of the Manisa-Soma Railroad, and on the old Rom road 9 hours from Sardis. The chief modern industry is rug-making. The face of the landscape may change, but Jesus will never change. He is the same today as yesterday.

Sardis Church Angel
The beauty of the stone Sardis, its transparent brilliance, the high polish of which it is susceptible, made it a favorite among the ancients. It forms the sixth foundation of the wall of the heavenly Jerusalem. Be solid like a rock. Just keep doing good, don't grow tired, being beautiful on the inside and out.

Philadelphia Church Angel
The Philadelphia church apparently encountered some opposition from local synagogue, the modern city of Alasehir lies upon the ancient site. But the door for Christ is still open, He will shut it someday. Don't miss out on the greatest accomplishment known to mankind. Salvation is only offered during your lifetime, your one chance to obtain eternal life with Christ. Jesus has called you friend, and went to hell so we don't have to. Revelation 21v  8.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Laodiceans Church Angel
The city of this name mentioned in Scripture lay on the confines of Phrygia and Lydia, about 40 miles east of Ephesus (Rev. 3:14), on the banks of the Lycus. It was originally called Diospolis and then Rhoas, but afterwards Laodicea, from Laodice, the wife of Antiochus II., king of Syria, who rebuilt it. It was one of the most important and flourishing cities of Asia Minor. At a very early period it became one of the chief seats of Christianity (Col. 2:1; 4:15; Rev. 1:11, etc.). It is now a deserted place, called by the Turks Eski-hissar or "old castle."
